Gaming without Compromise

The Acer Predator XB271HU is a gaming monitor that delivers exceptional gaming performance. It comes with gamer presets, adjustable stand, designer good looks, as well as the inevitable Nvdia’s G-Sync technology.

Summary

The Acer Predator XB271HU, provides remarkable gaming performance, due largely to a 144Hz refresh rate as well as Nvidia’s G-Sync technology. It comes with all the finer gamer-friendly features, although the color accuracy is lagging behind a bit. However, the 27-inch Acer Predator XB271HU compensates for the few shortcomings by providing a fine gaming performance, adjustable stand, and plenty of style.

Acer Predator XB271HU Design and Features

The Acer Predator XB271HU uses a bezel-free, sleek, matte-black cabinet, equipped with a red and black V-shaped stand. The stand is 5.9” of height, a 40 degree tilt, 30 degree swivel adjustability, and let you rotate the cabinet to 90 degrees for if you need Portrait-mode viewing. And if you want to the monitor on the wall, it comes with an optional mounting kit and four VESA mounting holes. To remove the Pressing the quick-release button lets you remove the cabinet from the stand and hang it on a wall using the four VESA mounting holes and an optional mounting kit. You can remove the monitor from its stand, all you have to do is to press the release button.

The monitor’s lower-right side contains a power switch and five functions buttons, for adjusting the volume of the speaker, toggling among the various input sources, and  choose from a set of pixel response overdrive modes such as Off, Normal, as also Extreme. Then there is a Game Mode hot key too, that allows you choose from a set of three gaming profiles, to customize picture settings.

The Acer Predator XB271HU comes with a varied choice of picture settings, like five picture presets of Standard, Graphics, ECO, User, and Movie; Contrast, Brightness, Color Temperature; and a Blue Light setting to help lessen  eye strain. Further, there are settings for Adaptive Contrast, Dark Boost, Gamma, and brightness(color saturation), as well as the 6-Axis Color, to adjust intensity levels of red, blue, green, cyan, magenta, as also yellow. For FPS or first person shooter games, there are three Aim Point crosshair-aiming targets. It has a DisplayPort, HDMI cables, and  USB upstream cable.
